This press release describes some aspects of the after school market in China along with some statistics. Two links are provided, but unfortunately the information on the websites is in Chinese.
Original Post:
U.S. company Neologic Animation Inc. (OTCBB:NANI) is in the after-school education market in China. This market is huge (over 100 million students in primary school alone) and growing. It is estimated that there are currently about 300 million Chinese classified as middle class, and this number is expected to grow to 500 to 800 million in the next decade.
Focus on Chinese Education
Chinese students are under great pressure to succeed, and parents are willing, and with Chinese limits on family size able, to spend considerable amounts on their children’s education. Plus, many local and provincial governments invest heavily in education, and even offer after-school programs for students which parents eagerly pay for their children to attend.
It’s this after-school market that Neologic Animation is targeting. The company has identified two major issues that its products are designed to address. One is that traditional Chinese education focuses on rote learning and conformity which does not properly prepare students for the modern world. In fact more and more parents are sending their children overseas for university level schooling. A second issue is that the number of hours students spend in class between regular and after-school programs leads to issues such as inability to concentrate and even burnout.
Introducing a Series of Interactive Learning Games
To address these issues, the company has developed a series of interactive games and is making them available on their “Naniya World” website. Subjects include art, music, science, math, language and cultural education. The website tries to make the experience interesting and fun. Its games include vivid graphics and exciting characters that facilitate engagement and provide continuous interaction. This approach helps children focus and promotes a more complete understanding of the subject matter.
The use of the internet as its medium gives its products almost unlimited scalability.
Led by Experienced Educator and Renowned Psychologist
Top management, who also design the company’s products in cooperation with China’s top professors and child psychology experts are themselves top educators and child psychology experts.
Co-founder and CEO Dr. Hongxiao Zhang has focused her career on the educational psychology of young people. She has published dozens of articles (some appearing in such respected periodicals as the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience and the Journal of Experimental Psychology) and a well-received book. She also has practical teaching experience.
The head of NANI’s psychology team, Dr. Jisheng Wang, is one of the foremost psychology experts in China. He is a professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Science Institute of Psychology.
Set to promote and distribute
Initially, Neologic Animation’s promotional and marketing strategy is to target the Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou markets. Thereafter it will expand nationally, beginning with other Eastern markets in China.
